Last week was Eleanor and John's (alias Art Martin) birthday. They share May 22nd and so of course are both geminii's (sign of the twins) and when they debate, I sometimes think there are four of them in the room. For their birthday, I thought I'd make them both a little book about their lives. I didn't really take into account how much work goes into a little book! Many other bad things happened last week which made me dream that my van was full of sand, metaphorical I think, and I won't talk about them. I also painted a mandala (spelling?) and finished my paint pouring picture for art class. I'm a little sad because my last art class is today and I didn't sign up for the summer session and now it's full. Oh well, I'm happy with my mandala so my life can't be completely full of sand.

Here we are at the McKay gallery in Unionville. The Emerging Artist Show was a few weeks ago so I guess I have emerged. The watercolour I had in the show, which was of a farm with windturbines in East Point PEI, has been shipped off to PEI. My pictures seem to make it there even if I can't. So now to the real question. What is Art Martin doing in this picture? You can't take him anywhere. I think he may be trying to defend himself from daleks. If you don't know what a dalek is then you have to watch some Dr. Who. I may be getting myself into trouble here. This is definetly unknown territory. Although I have spied on many other people's blogs I have never had my own. A little scarry. This is the blog where I talk about my art things and do my best not to be mundane. handsome Basel I had to make the blue shadows garishly bright so you could see the writing at the bottom. Well, fun as this is, I'd rather be painting, but my dog Basel is panting and Becky is making cookies! |
