I feel I have been neglecting you. But I have been stuck in a quagmire of details that I must wade through in order to open my Etsy store. Today I researched printers. How hard can it be to find a nice local printer who will show me all kinds of lovely papers, make helpful suggestions and have prices that allow me to be competitive. I spent three hours looking up printers on my computer after which I was cross and cross-eyed. There were printers who had lovely services and papers in the far reaches of the world, but nothing local. There were local printers whose prices were more than I planned to charge per print. Finally I got in my car and drove to a printer who advertized art reproduction. Hopefully if I went in person someone would help me. I wanted to be sold on their marvelous services. Into the store I went and asked if they did art prints, "Yes but nothing smaller than 11*14". That wasn't so good for my little 7*7 watercolour. "Do you have any nice matte paper?", I asked. "This is matte" , said the man pointing at some shiny thin paper. Home again I went and back to my computer. However, I think I have prevailed. I found a printer who does fine art prints at reasonable prices. I emailed them and they responded right away, even calling me by name! My hopes are high! I have also been doing some pictures for the store. Doing art is a great stress reliever! A Preview of coming attractions.
