This is a little ACEO (2.5 by 3.5 inches) with a quote by Julia Cameron who wrote "The Artist's Way". I love the quote but I must admit that I've never read the book. The idea of "morning pages" just seemed like too much writing. However, I have often though this very thing, especially when I'm painting with watercolor. I haven't checked the other illustrations yet and Im wondering if anyone else used this quote. It just seemed too perfect for this prompt!

I sure do like the colors and varying textures in your collage. I've never heard the quote, but it certainly applies to traditional Etegami where the whole point is to resist trying to control the writing brush. We do this by dangling the very top of the long writing brush from our finger tips as we make our lines. The resulting blotches and irregular lines are what give Etegami character.

I've never seen the quote before let alone used it, but it works well for the theme. Perfect in your illustration too. Like the various textures and colours.
