Sorry that I've been neglecting this blog lately.   I've been rushing to finish my second altered book.  If I'm lucky, it will be in the display cases at the Varley Art Gallery. I just have to get it done!

Here are some sneak peaks of how it's coming along.  As you can see, I finished the niche and the window in front of the niche.  Now I just have afew more regular pages to do.

I secretly love having an excuse to ignore everything else in life and just concentrate on this book.

Laurel-- your altered book looks awesome! I really like how you used the beads and string in the big window!

How fun! Love the bright colors & the negative space. Good luck

I hear you! I just dropped off 2 pieces for a group show - had to ignore the world for a couple of days to finish. I tend to fuss a bit but it is a good excuse to create

Love it! I've showed my advanced students your blog because I'm making them create their own altered books/journals, which they've never done before. I use you as a reference often actually now that I think about it. One girl told me you had to come do a demo for them. I said you lived in Canada and she insisted I fly you down here! Oh if only I could! :)
