A few years ago I was an avid gardener. I had a large perennial garden which I had created from scratch. I spent a lot of time with my plants and when we had to move...well... let's just say, I was not happy. Our new home was meant to be temporary and since I had invested 7 years building my last garden, I was not inclinding to start again. Luckily, I still had my dog, who required walking every day. I began to realize, as I walked and walked, that I did have a garden and it was everywhere. So when I recently came accross this quote from "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett it really resonated! I love the idea that we create our own worlds out of our perceptions and thoughts. Sometimes we have to loose things, in order to find them. If you like this piece, it's now on sale in my shop: ) This is your new blog post. Hi Donna! I'm glad you have been enjoying my blogs : ) Unfortunately this one sold and it's an original so there are no copies. If you really like it I could paint a similar one, but they are never totally identical. I like the quote too!
